   Proposal Description:
   The prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors is a national health concern. Additionally, the study of TBI and cognition has gained attention in the science community. These factors have been studied independently on their relative contributions on several areas of brain health including the risk for developing dementia, with most of the attention focused on Alzheimer?s disease (AD). However, little attention has been paid to the interactions between, and the contribution of, these factors in a healthy longitudinal cohort. The objective of this study is to examine the interactions and relative contributions of vascular health and remote TBI in a healthy aging adult population. The findings may provide a roadmap to healthier brain aging.  VAS only  TBI only  VAS with TBI  NC
